Idyllic weekend

Am on IM with squid as I write this entry. We're talking about the most frivolous things on earth at the same time as something really serious. Told her to let me write blog in peace and not buzz like a mosquito. She replied with a whole load of emoticons that were either sticking their tongues out, extremely violent, or sobbing buckets. Very childish I know, but quite fun. It's such moments like these between friends that really perk up your day. Just like reading Duck's daily mailer too. =)

Had a most idyllic weekend due to a muscle strain in the left calf.

Shopped for waffles and maple syrup and had waffles for brekkie on Sat morning. Yummy! Made up for the pain in muscle caused by hobbling round the whole of Carrefour on Fri night looking for maple syrup because Carrefour staff had no idea what was maple syrup. *incredulous look*

Watched Legend of the Condor Heroes on Sat night, where if not for strain, could be at DXO with Squid. Such is life! Sometimes it is a case of what might have been versus what it is. Then you realise that life makes the best choice for you every time. One just needs faith for there to be ground to walk on or wings with which to fly.

Went to highlight hair on Sunday. Fiona taught me to see where a stylist has been trained by the way they hold their scissors. Hairdressing can be quite fun!

Bought cakes from Pine Garden to try. If you're wondering, the best is still their Blackforest. The Lychee Martini is a sad version of the cocktail and the Pina Colada, well, I didnt even want to try it. And yes, Blackforest is their bestseller. That's what the Auntie said when I asked. Next on the list to try is lana cake from Choc A Blog.

Attended WC's wedding last night at Rasa Sentosa with hair all coiffed up and looking a good decade older. As we were walking up the slope, I muttered to Nana to please have mercy and NOT hold her wedding there. That place, lovely as it is, is in the middle of a wilderness.

Friends left early, so met up with C for supper.

Hairspray is both a blessing and a bane. It holds the hair up nicely. But imagine having to rinse it all off. It's a wonder one has any hair left. As what C told me via sms, baldness is a blessing and should be recommended to all. Bleah!
